Co21 is a low-carbon, cobalt-chromium-molybdenum (Co-Cr-Mo) based alloy powder. Unlike the cobalt-chromium-tungsten (Co-Cr-W) systems found in Stellite 6, 12, or 20, Co21 utilizes molybdenum (Mo) in place of tungsten (W) and features a very low carbon content. It offers exceptional toughness, resistance to cavitation, galling, and severe corrosion, while also demonstrating excellent thermal shock and impact resistance; its hardness increases following cold working. While not suited for applications involving intense abrasive wear from hard particles, it is primarily designed for environments characterized by cavitation, erosion, metal-to-metal sliding wear, and high-temperature corrosion. It is frequently used for surface strengthening-via hardfacing or cladding-of components such as turbine blades, fluid control valves, and hot-forging dies.

FAQ
Q: What is MIM feedstock?
A: MIM feedstock is compound of metal powder + polymer binder. It is the raw pellet material fed directly into injection molding machine for MIM production.
Q: What debinding type should I choose for 316L MIM feedstock?
A: Catalytic debind is preferred for mass production. Thermal debind is better for small batches. We can adjust formula based on your furnace.
Q: Can I get free sample?
A: We offer trial samples for process evaluation. Please contact our sales team for sample quotation.
Q: Is 316L MIM material corrosion resistant?
A: Yes. Sintered 316L MIM parts have excellent resistance against salt water, acid and humid environment.
