T-800 is a cobalt-based wear-resistant alloy powder of the Co-Mo-Cr-Si system, part of the Tribaloy® series trademarked by Kennametal Stellite. It is designed for high-temperature wear and corrosion-resistant applications, featuring a high volume fraction of hard Laves intermetallic phase (Co₃Mo₂Si type) in a cobalt matrix.
Compared with T-400, T-800 contains significantly higher chromium (~18%) and silicon, delivering superior high-temperature oxidation resistance and hot-corrosion resistance up to 800–1000 °C, at the cost of lower toughness. It is the preferred grade for severe high-temperature, high-wear conditions.T-800 is the high-temperature workhorse of the Tribaloy family - harder, more oxidation-resistant than T-400, ideal for valve trim and extruder parts exposed to hot corrosive media up to 1000 °C.

Performance Characteristics
-
Excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance up to 1000 °C, far above T-400
-
Superior hot corrosion resistance in sulfidizing / vanadium-containing environments
-
High hardness and abrasive wear resistance from Laves phase
-
Excellent galling resistance under dry, unlubricated sliding conditions
-
Note: higher chromium/silicon content → lower ductility and higher crack sensitivity; suitable for simple geometries and low-stress applications

FAQ
Q: What is MIM feedstock?
A: MIM feedstock is compound of metal powder + polymer binder. It is the raw pellet material fed directly into injection molding machine for MIM production.
Q: What debinding type should I choose for 316L MIM feedstock?
A: Catalytic debind is preferred for mass production. Thermal debind is better for small batches. We can adjust formula based on your furnace.
Q: Can I get free sample?
A: We offer trial samples for process evaluation. Please contact our sales team for sample quotation.
Q: Is 316L MIM material corrosion resistant?
A: Yes. Sintered 316L MIM parts have excellent resistance against salt water, acid and humid environment.
