What's the use of nickel base superalloys?

What's the use of nickel base superalloys?

Nickel base superalloys are mainly used for structural parts working at 950~1050 ℃ in aerospace field, such as working blades, turbine disks, combustion chambers, etc. of aeroengines. Therefore, the study of nickel base superalloys is of great significance for the development of China's aerospace industry. Nickel base superalloy is a superalloy with nickel as the matrix (the content is generally more than 50%), high strength, good oxidation resistance and gas corrosion resistance in the range of 650~1000 ℃. It is developed on the basis of Cr20Ni80 alloy. In order to meet the requirements of high temperature thermal strength (high temperature strength, creep resistance, high temperature fatigue strength) at about 1000 ℃ and oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance in gas medium, a large number of strengthening elements, such as W, Mo, Ti, Al, Nb, Co, are added to ensure its superior high temperature performance.
