What are soft magnetic materials
1. Pure iron and mild steel
The carbon content is less than 0.04%, including electromagnetic pure iron, electrolytic iron and carbonyl iron. Its typical characteristics are high saturation magnetization, low price and good processing performance; However, due to low resistivity and large eddy current loss under alternating magnetic field, it is more suitable for static use.
2. Ferrosilicon alloy
The silicon content is between 0.5% and 4.8%, which is usually used as a thin sheet. After adding silicon into pure iron, the phenomenon that the magnetism of magnetic materials changes with the use time can be eliminated.
3. Iron aluminum alloy
Aluminum content is between 6% and 16%. It has relatively high soft magnetic properties, high permeability and resistivity, high hardness, good wear resistance, but brittle.
4. Fe Si Al alloy
It is obtained by adding silicon into binary iron aluminum alloy. Its hardness, saturation magnetic induction, permeability and resistivity are relatively high. However, there is a disadvantage that the magnetic properties are sensitive to the fluctuation of the composition, brittle, and poor processing performance.
5. Nickel iron alloy
When the nickel content is between 30% and 90%, the magnetic properties can be controlled through the alloying element ratio and appropriate process to obtain soft magnetic materials such as high magnetic conductivity, constant magnetic conductivity and moment magnetic properties.
6. Iron cobalt alloy
Cobalt content ranges from 27% to 50%. It has high saturation magnetization and low resistivity.
